The sensor probe uses a moderate length stainless steel protective outer cover which is shrink-wrapped to wires at the display side and terminates into the probe at the sensor side. The sensor/probe has a threaded sleeve that permits a solid contact to the material being measured, being this way a person would be able to glue a bolt to the contact area and thread the sensor into that until the probe made contact.
